For more than 15 years, Gia S. Morales-Talavera has been a powerful voice in public relations, communications policy and regional and national media campaigns in Puerto Rico. Gia, who began her career as a journalist, has served in the private and public sectors, including work as a political communications advisor for legislators, governors, and political candidates.
Prior to her career in public relations, Gia served as special correspondent for "Primer Impacto" at the Univision Network in Puerto Rico and also worked as a photojournalist for the El Nuevo Día and Primera Hora newspapers, the two dailies with the largest circulation in Puerto Rico.
When Gia was a teenager, she was awarded the First Prize in Photo Journalism in Nature by the Puerto Rico Association of Photo Journalists, and in 2005, she received the Zenith Award granted by the President of the Puerto Rico Chamber of Commerce for her work in the media.
Gia has a B.A. in Communications from the University of Puerto Rico and has pursued graduate studies in Public Relations, Political Marketing and Communications. She is also a wine connoisseur who holds a Wine and Spirit Educational Trust (WSET) Level 2 Certification in Wines and Spirits.
